An Atera alternative
for teams who don't need the RMM.

Atera's pitch is everything-in-one: RMM, remote access, and a helpdesk, priced per technician. It's a fair price - for the whole bundle. If the RMM half is covered elsewhere or not needed at all, you're paying platform rates for the half that users rate weakest.

When Atera is the right call

You manage fleets of endpoints and want monitoring, patching, remote access, and ticketing from one vendor with per-technician pricing. As a bundle, that trade is genuinely good value - especially for lean MSPs consolidating tools.

When Tend is

Your monitoring is already handled - NinjaOne, Level, Datto, or simply not your business - and what you need is the service side done properly: a calm inbox, SLA clocks, per-client assets, and billing that reaches your accounting package without a spreadsheet in between.

Atera figures as published mid-2026 - Atera's pricing page has current details. Atera is a trademark of its owner; Tend is not affiliated with or endorsed by them. Tend prices are in US dollars.

The arithmetic worth doing: a three-person team on Atera's entry MSP plan pays roughly US$4,600 a year, RMM included. The same team on Tend pays about US$1,050 - and keeps whichever monitoring stack it already trusts. If you use Atera's RMM daily, that gap is Atera earning its keep; if you don't, it's rent on software you never open.

Tend doesn't do monitoring and won't pretend to: alerts from your RMM arrive like any other email today, and deeper alert ingestion is on the roadmap, not the box. What's in the box is the service half done with care - tickets that thread properly, SLA chips that state facts, assets tied to the clients who own them, and billing that ends in a Xero or QuickBooks draft.

Moving is the part we take off your plate: importers for Zendesk and Freshdesk exports, a documented CSV path for everything else, and a human - the founder - doing the migration with you, free. See pricing or how your data is handled.
